Meet Dr. Urania R. Funteas

Urania R. Funteas, D.D.S is an endodontist at our offices in Norwood, Dedham and Franklin, MA. Dr. Funteas’ career in dentistry began at age 15, when she worked as a chairside assistant through high school, college, and dental school. She received her DDS degree in 1996 from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and was awarded multiple academic scholarships. After having practiced general dentistry for four years, Dr. Funteas’ passion for endodontics motivated her to return to academics to further her education in a three year post-doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate studies in Endodontics.

Dr. Funteas joined Endodontic Care bringing a warm and compassionate commitment to her patients’ needs. Dr. Funteas has been extensively trained in the latest microsurgical advancements. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Norfolk Parkway Study Club. Dr. Funteas is married and her outside interests include tennis, hiking and reading.
