meet Dr. Winna Gorham
Dr. Winna G. Gorham has been practicing Endodontics in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania for 13 years. She was born and raised in Norwood, Massachusetts, attending Norwood Public Schools, before graduating summa cum laude from UMASS Boston in 2004. Dr. Gorham earned her D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2008. She continued at Tufts Dental where she earned her Endodontic Certificate and Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology in 2010. During her enrollment at Tufts Dental, Dr. Gorham received numerous awards and scholarships including the AADR Student Research Fellowship, the Dr. Harold Berk Endowed Prize Fund for Excellence in Research, the American Association of Women Dentists Colgate Research Award, the Lester P. Goldsmith Endowed Prize Fund in Endodontics, and the American Association of Endodontics/Dentsply Resident Award.
In addition to 13 years of clinical experience, Dr. Gorham has a background in research specific to malignant squamous cell carcinoma and dental pulp stem cells. Her presentations include, “Stromal-Epithelial Cross-Talk Modulates Malignant Progression of E-Cadherin-Deficient Carcinoma Cells”, “Tumor Stroma Impact on Progression of E-Cadherin-Deficient Squamous Cell Carcinoma,” and “Human ES Cell-Derived Mesenchymal Cells Express Dental Pulp Cell Markers.”
Dr. Gorham has earned an excellent reputation for keeping her patients’ comfort in mind while providing exceptional endodontic care. Her communication skills, patience, understanding, and ability to create a calm experience are strengths noted by patients in her many reviews. She is committed to creating a positive patient experience and takes joy in providing state of the art excellent clinical treatment to all patients.
Dr. Gorham was featured in the American Association of Women Dentist’s Chronicle Monthly, member spotlight: Endodontists of AAWD in May of 2020, where she discussed her love of endodontics, and practicing amidst the COVID pandemic. Additionally, she is the author of the Endodontics chapter of Dental Secrets: 5th edition. Dr. Gorham has been elected by her peers in the Boston Magazine as, “Boston’s Best Dentist,” in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Gorham enjoys fitness, reading, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and rescue dog. She maintains memberships in the American Association of Endodontics, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Women Dentists.
