If you have coverage under your Dental Insurance, we may submit a pre-treatment estimate to your dental company after your consultation with the doctor. It takes approximately 2-4 weeks for your insurance company to process pre-treatment estimates and return them to our office. A copy of the estimate will be typically mailed to your home address with an “estimate” of the out-of-pocket cost that will be due at the time of your next appointment. Please keep in mind that a patient can exceed the annual maximum benefits for the year, thus further increasing your out-of-pocket expenses, once the claim has been processed and paid by your insurance. Please contact your dental insurance company for any details regarding your benefits, and what may or may not be covered, including any open claims that may affect your annual benefits, and covered procedures.
Please note that if for any reason your insurance company does not fulfill their obligation, or your treatment is completed before we receive a pre-treatment estimate or prior authorization, you will be responsible for any balance that is incurred. We also recommend that you become familiar with your insurance company guidelines, which can be obtained by calling the customer service number on the back of your card.
